<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display which can reduce uneven brightness caused by the complication of control sequences. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel 2 has a light emitting element EL, a sampling transistor T1, a drive transistor T2, and a holding capacitor C1. The sampling transistor T1 becomes conductive by the control signal supplied from a scanning line WS and samples a signal potential Vsig supplied from a signal line SL to hold in the holding capacitor C1. The control scanner 4 outputs a control signal of a predetermined time width to the scanning line WS to make the sampling transistor T1 conductive while the signal line SL is at the signal potential Vsig, then holds the signal potential Vsig in the holding capacitor C1, and at the same time applies compensation to the signal potential Vsig for the mobility μ of the driving transistor T2. In this case, an intermediate potential level between the higher potential and the lower potential of the control signal is set to a level obtained by adding a threshold voltage of the sampling transistor T1 to the highest level of the signal potential. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
