<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone capable of displaying time, while shifting it by desired time interval with a timing set by a user, for the time display which displays normal time. <P>SOLUTION: When a function of displaying time, while shifting it is made effective, and an event has been set already, a controller 11 becomes in a waiting state until the set event occurs. Here, when the event set by the user occurs, the controller 11 displays the time, while shifting it by a time set by an offset time display means 12a.
