PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chronograph having digital display. SOLUTION: The chronograph, having a chronograph mechanism includes a gear train for chronographs (50) and a counter mechanism (64) connected to the gear train for chronographs (50) by a mechanics means. The counter mechanism (64) includes a first and second gear set (78, 82), equipped with a first and second indicating member (36, 38), respectively. The first gear set (78) is arranged so as to rotate stepwise by using a positioning means (86). The second gear set (82) is arranged so as to move stepwise with the first gear set (78).
