PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server device that can automatically change the network identifier of the server device without using a gateway device, in a server system in which server devices and storage devices are separated. SOLUTION: In the server system, which networks a plurality of server devices and storage devices for storing information for the server devices by means of identifier information, a first server device sends to a second server device information for changing the network identifier information about the second server device, and the second server device receives the information to change the identifier information about the server device used when the second server device is started.
