PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more flexibly correspond to a plurality of kinds of image signals in a planar image display device such as a plasma display device or the like. SOLUTION: The planar image display device is provided with a display driving circuit block which applies signals to a planar display panel and to conduct displaying, an input signal circuit block which is connected between the display driving circuit block and an external equipment, that outputs image signals, and has an exchangeable board block corresponding to the image signals and a power supply circuit block which supplies driving voltages to the display driving circuit block and the input signal circuit block. Operations of a board power supply section 40 of the power supply circuit block, which supplies voltages to the board block, are controlled by voltage supply signal data transmitted from a memory section 39 of a circuit board 38 of the board block.
