PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope device which is made suitable for a long duration observation and does not generate fluctuation of a focusing surface. SOLUTION: An optical microscope device is provided with a casing 20 which stores an optical member 21, a sample room 10 having an airtight structure and an environmental control section which controls temperature and humidity of the sample room 10 and controls temperature of the casing 20. A top plate 12 of the sample room 10 is an openable and closable cover and is used to insert and to take out a living sample S. When the sample room 10 is placed on top of the casing 20, the casing 20 is hermetically sealed by a bottom plate 11 of the sample room 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
