摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector with a plurality of scintillators two-dimensionally arranged tightly and a plurality of photomultiplier tubes of less number of the scintillators and optically coupling with the scintillators, which does not lower the output even with introduction of gamma ray in any locations, can exactly discriminate positions, and maintain high resolution and high image quality. SOLUTION: A light stopper is provided to stop light emitted from scintillator group S1 tightly arranging a plurality of scintillators S into a transparent plate T1 put in between photomultiplier tubes K1 to the photomultiplier tube K1 side. More concretely, a grating frame having a slanting plane provided with a reflection material or light-shielding material is placed inside. Thus, the light to the photomuliplier tube K1 is not introduced in the side tube P1 and introduced all in photoelectric surface C1.
