Disclosed is a working fluid composition for refrigerator, which is characterized by containing an ester of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid containing 50-100% by mole of a branched fatty acid having 5-9 carbon atoms, and a fluoropropene refrigerant and/or a trifluoroiodomethane refrigerant. Also disclosed is a refrigerator oil, which is characterized by containing an ester of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid containing 50-100% by mole of a branched fatty acid having 5-9 carbon atoms and being used together with a fluoropropene refrigerant and/or a trifluoroiodomethane refrigerant.
