PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sympathetic activator with less side effects as an autonomic modulator which has deep relationship with in vivo homeostatic maintenance in this stressful contemporary society. SOLUTION: The subject slimming composition contains one or more kinds selected from a fennel oil, a grapefruit oil, a pepper oil, a hyssop oil, a sage oil, an estragon oil, a eucalyptus oil, a rosemary oil, a cinnamon oil, a clove oil, an ilang-ilang oil, a ginger oil, a geranium oil and olibanum, and caffeine. A slimming method is to apply the composition to the skin, to make a flavor component smelt, and to make caffeine percutaneously absorbed.
