<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording/reproducing device capable of recording a large amount of data without compressing it. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an optical fiber 3 disposed in a rotary drum 1 to connect the rotational center of the rotary drum with a laser beam emitting part 5 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rotary drum so that a laser beam 6 is made to pass through. A laser beam passing through the optical fiber is emitted from the laser beam emitting part. The rotary drum emits the laser beam from the outer peripheral surface while being rotated. Data are recorded/reproduced to/from an optical recording tape which is recordable by a laser beam advancing in a direction inclined from the rotational surface of the rotary drum, while the tape is abutted on the outer peripheral surface of the rotary drum by a helical scan system with the laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
