PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute color conversion process reflecting a color appearance model by simple processing. SOLUTION: First color conversion processing is performed on the basis of an input side profile, RGB image data are converted into first Lab image data (100), and a color conversion profile suited to the color gamut of an input device and color gamut information and indent information as the characteristics of an output side profile is selected from a plurality of color conversion profiles (102). Then second color conversion processing is executed on the basis of the selected color conversion profile, the first Lab image data are converted into second Lab image data (106), third color conversion processing is executed on the basis of an output side ICC profile to convert the second Lab image data into CMYK image data (108), and then the CMYK image data are output to a copying machine as printing data (110).
