WATER-ABSORBING AGENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing agent capable of increasing the synergistic effect with a light accumulation agent. SOLUTION: The water-absorbing agent contains a water-absorbing resin obtained by polymerizing an ethylenic unsaturated monomer, and a light accumulation agent. The water-absorbing agent has a water-content of≤30 mass%. Preferably, the ethylenic unsaturated monomer contains acrylic acid and/or an acrylic acid salt in an amount of≥30 mol%. The water-absorbing agent contains at least one kind of substance selected from polyvalent metal salts, polyhydric alcohols and surfactants. The ratio of particles having 1 to 12 planes is preferably≥50 mass% and≤100 mass% in the total mass. Preferably, the light accumulation agent is a compound expressed by MAl2O4, wherein M is at least one kind of metal element selected from calcium, strontium and barium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
