PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirrer highly efficiently and uniformly stirring an entire stirring vessel with small power, eliminating a rotation mechanism liable to cause abrasion and failure. SOLUTION: The stirrer comprises a stirring body 2 elevating/lowering along a guide rod 5 in the stirring vessel 1, a flexible body 3 disposed at a lower part of the stirring body 2 and sucking and discharging fluid in the stirring vessel 1 by the flexible action, and valves 41, 42 disposed at the suction/discharge ports 31, 32 formed at the upper and lower parts of the flexible body 3 and sucking or discharging the fluid.
