PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that an embryo of a granule cannot be obtained, and that working hours are short, while a working efficiency is low, and a maintenance is not easy. SOLUTION: An embryo separation and recovery apparatus has a constitution that: a bran supply port 6 connecting an end of a bran transfer supply tube 3 conveying bran produced in a rice milling process is formed at one side upper part of a case 2 in a substantially sealed state; at the other side of the case 2, a bran suction and discharge spout 7 is formed so as to discharge the bran; in the case 2 a primary sorting air trunk F is formed between the bran supply port 6 and the bran suction and discharge spout 7; by a primary sorting apparatus 5 provided on the primary sorting air trunk F, a primary sorting of the bran of the granule, and a whole grain of the granule and crushed rice, and an embryo is carried out upon wind sorting; following the primary sorting apparatus 5, the whole grains are recovered and detected from the granules sorted by the primary sorting apparatus 5; and at the same time, a secondary sorting apparatus 31 for wind-sorting the embryos is provided.
