The invention relates to a light source, comprising a plurality of carrier elements (2), wherein the carrier elements each have a substantially plane surface section on which at least one, or two light emitting diodes are disposed. The carrier elements (2) disposed relative to each other such that the surface sections of the carrier elements define the surface of the convex polyhedron, such as a dodecahedron. The light source may be approximately considered as a spot light source such that it is suitable, for example, as a light source for a ball lamp. |
