PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of an elastic connecting member interposed between an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder when vibration is input to the inner cylinder in an oblique direction. SOLUTION: The vibration damper includes the inner cylinder 2, the outer cylinder 3 disposed outside of the inner cylinder and the elastic connecting member 4 interposed between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder. The elastic connecting member is made of rubber and disposed inclinedly with respect to a plane S perpendicular to the axis of the inner cylinder. When the vibration input F is applied to the inner cylinder 2 in the oblique direction, the elastic connecting member is deformed mainly in a shearing direction, thereby improving the durability.
