PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pin type retainer which can ease dimension control and assembly. SOLUTION: The retainer is characterized in that a screw hole 11a is arranged circumferentially at an equal interval in both side plates 11, and thread portions 12a opposite in clockwise/counterclockwise directions are arranged in both ends of each pin 12, furthermore, these are processed in thread connection, in that control is easy because heat is not applied at the time of assembly, therefore, dimensional relation is free from deviation, and in that since a screwing action of clockwise thread portion 12a of the pin 12 toward one side plate 11 holds a screwing action of counterclockwise thread portion 12a of the pin 12 toward the other side plate 11 simultaneously, the pin 12 and both side plates 11 can be processed in thread connection simultaneously, therefore, assembly is easy.
