The present invention relates to a support member for improving the recumbent position on a mattress, comprising: - a three-dimensional crochet or knitted structure (7) 'comprising an upper air-permeable layer (2), a lower air-permeable layer (4) and a connecting layer (3) which is built up of a plurality of connecting filaments extending between the upper and lower layers, - a cover layer (8) comprising textile which can also be used to attach the top mattress (1) in removable manner to a mattress (13), and - coupling means (8') for coupling the cover layer (8) to the three-dimensional structure, and to a baby or child's mattress (13) comprising a support member for improving the recumbent position, comprising at least one three- dimensional crochet, or knitted structure comprising an upper air-permeable layer (2), a lower air-permeable layer (4) and a connecting layer (3) which is built up of a plurality of connecting filaments extending between the upper and lower layers, this three-dimensional structure being arranged inside the mattress cover of the mattress. |
