A method is provided to purify contaminated fresh water or seawater naturally by performing a process of naturally circulating water to an upper part of a purifier, thereby floating the floating materials contained in water or seawater, discharging clean water from a bottom part of the purifier, and discharging upper layer water containing the floating material from an upper part of the purifier to the outside. A method for purifying contaminated fresh water or seawater naturally comprises: preparing a purifier(10) including a vertically penetrated cylindrical body(12) having a plurality of water-passing holes(13) radially formed in a lower end portion thereof, and immersing the purifier into water stored in an aquarium(30) of which water is required to be purified such that an upper part of the purifier body is positioned above water, a pump(20) is connected to the purifier, installing a water supply pipe(21) connected to the pump such that a water supply part of the water supply pipe is spaced from the purifier in a predetermined distance, and allowing a drainpipe(22) to supply water from an upper side to a lower side of the body; operating the pump to supply continuously the stored water to an upper part of the purifier body and continuously discharging water supplied from the pump to a lower layer part of a stored water layer through the water-passing holes to separate naturally light contaminants or floating materials from water such that the light contaminants or floating materials are floated in the upper part of the purifier body; and connecting a discharge pipe(15) to an upper portion of the purifier body to purify naturally contaminated water or seawater naturally by discharging water containing light contaminants or floating materials in an upper layer part of water in the purifier body to the outside. |
