<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of reducing water vapor generated from a fixing unit. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet material P taken out by a pickup roll 132 and fed out to a conveying route 108 by a paper feeding roll 122 and a separation roll 124 by every one sheet is pressed to a horn of an excitation member 22 by a pressurization roll 24, and supersonic vibration generated on a distal end of the horn is instantly transmitted to the sheet material P. Because the supersonic vibration is transmitted to the sheet material P, air bubbles are generated inside a moisture content contained in the sheet material P by vibration, and the moisture content is released from the sheet material P as water vapor. The water vapor is discharged to the outside the image forming device 100 from a discharge port 36. Thus, by releasing the moisture content contained in the sheet material P to the outside the image forming device 100, the fixing unit 116 heats the sheet material P and can reduce the generated amount of water vapor.
