PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lighting fixture device with the obstacle detecting function which is capable of suppressing any increase of the manufacturing cost and less in fluctuation of the irradiating light quantity. SOLUTION: The vehicular lighting fixture device with the obstacle detecting function comprises a light emission part 2 having a plurality of light source units A, B, C, D with one or more LED chip being a light emission source, and a light reception part 3 with a semi-conductor light receiving element being a light receiving source. Modulated light of the frequency f1 is applied from the light source units A, B and modulated light of the frequency f2 is applied from the light source units C, D, respectively. The light applied from the light emission part 2 and reflected by an obstacle and received by the semi-conductor light receiving element is converted into an electric signal. The signal is fractionated into the frequency component f1 and the frequency component f2, and amplified to calculate the distance to the obstacle based on the magnitude of the frequency component f1 and the magnitude of the frequency component f2.
