<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular radar system capable of detecting the presence of trouble in not only a reception system but also a transmission system. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of radars 3, 4 is installed in a vehicle 2, and the failure of a radar operation is determined based on a reception level and a frequency of a leaked radio wave of other millimeter radar received by one of the plurality of radars 3, 4. The failure is thereby detected not only in the reception system of the radar but also in the transmission system of the other radar. A signal for the failure detection is not required to be generated when detecting the failure of the radar operation, and the operation failure is detected using basic function constitution of the radar. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
