<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the assembly work to a vehicle body frame by simplifying the constitution of a parking brake device in an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: A parking brake device in an automobile comprises a turning arm 20 pivotably supported by a bracket 18 mounted on a vehicle body frame 3, an equalizer 22 pivotably supported by the turning arm 20, an inner cable 24 for connecting the brake device 13 to the equalizer 22, an outer cable 25 for internally fitting the inner cable 24 in a slidable manner, and an operation cable 27 which extends from a braking operation unit 14 for the braking operation with its extension part being connected to an turning end 20b of the turning arm 20. The bracket 18 is fitted to a cross member 5 to support each outer cable 25 by the bracket 18. The turning locus C on the turning end 20b side of the turning arm 20 is arranged in a corner part D held by a side member 4 and the cross member 5 in plan view of a vehicle body 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
