<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an imaging apparatus, which discriminates the state of an object and has an automatic photographing function, to effectively operate the automatic photographing function even when there are a plurality of objects. <P>SOLUTION: For example, persons are detected as an object from an image obtained by imaging, and for example, the number of the persons is calculated as information of the object. As the number of persons increases more, setting of a state which the object should satisfy to perform automatic photographing is relaxed.
