PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the learning effect of searched words as compared with conventional manner. SOLUTION: An electronic dictionary 1 comprises: a dictionary database 84 storing dictionary information wherein explanatory information is made to correspond to each keyword; an input section 30 receiving, in accordance with user's manipulation, an input operation of search character string of the keyword; a CPU 20 performing ambiguous search of the keyword corresponding to the search character string from dictionary information; a display section 40 displaying explanatory information of the keyword for which the ambiguous search is performed by the CPU 20; and a review required word storage table 86 storing the keyword for which the ambiguous search is performed by the CPU 20.
