PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working medium refining system of a cooler, the cooler, a working medium refining method of the cooler, a working medium substituting method of the cooler and a cooler manufacturing method, capable of easily enhancing purity of a working medium. SOLUTION: This working medium refining system 1 is a system for refining the working medium of the cooler 2 having a compressor 10 compressing the worming medium and a cold head 50 taking out cold heat by expanding the working medium compressed by the compressor 10, and has a circulating line 4 connected to the compressor 10 and the cold head 50 and circulating the working medium by a closed passage including the compressor 10 and the cold head 50, and a gas refining device 5 arranged in the circulating line 4 and removing an impurity from the working medium.
