PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cock fitting construction method for a custom kitchen, simply and strongly fitting a gas cock for gas appliances to a back board of a piece of kitchen furniture without boring a large opening in the back board of the kitchen furniture in comparatively simple constitution. SOLUTION: In this construction method for fitting the gas cock to the back board D of kitchen furniture of the custom kitchen, a plate-like back plate 2 disposed on the back of the back board D is provided with a plurality of threaded holes 5 having a projecting part in the periphery and disposed in a straight line, a front fixed plate 3 is provided with a plurality of through holes 8 and a gas cock fitting part 10, the back plate 2 is held by a holding member 4, inserted to the back through a slit-like opening O of the back board D, and pulled to fit the projecting parts in the opening O. Screw members 11 are passed through the through holes 8 of the fixed plate 3 disposed on the front and screw-engaged with the threaded holes 5 of the back plate 2, thereby holding the back board D between both plates 2, 3, and the gas cock is fitted to the gas cock fitting part 10 of the fixed plate 3.
