PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing using a cage which is properly strong and environmentally acceptable for living things. SOLUTION: The used cage is formed of a material for which filler is added to a biodegradable resin and which has a tensile strength of 85-130 MPa at room temperature. The filler is at least one type fibrous filler selected from glass fibers, metal fibers, polyvinyl alcohol fibers, carbon fibers, potassium titanate whiskers, zinc oxide whiskers, calcium sulfate whiskers, and aluminum borate whiskers. The cage of the biodegradable resin has sufficient strength with the filler added thereto. The rolling bearing using the cage therefore endures long-time use. When the rolling bearing is embedded in a ground, the cage superior in biodegradability, if another than a member formed of metal or ceramic, is degraded into soil.
