PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check delivery device capable of surely delivering checks one by one by using a separating mechanism of a retard roller system. SOLUTION: This check processing device 1 is provided with a check delivery mechanism 13 for delivering the checks 4 inserted in a check insertion section 9 in a stacked state one by one to a conveyance passage 5. In the check delivery mechanism 13, the delivered checks 4 are delivered toward a pair of separation rollers 76 in a state of being pressed to a first guide surface 14 side in a check delivery passage 17 by a separation pad 75. Only the check 4(1) in contact with the peripheral section 81a of the separation roller 81 passes a nip section 76a to be delivered, however, the front ends 401 of the checks 4(2), 4(3) other than that runs against the peripheral section 82a of the retard roller 82 at a large angle relative to the tangential direction to be undelivered.
