PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent wear of an anti-sprocket surface and outer peripheral surface of a seal part and a flange part of a rotating side casing, and to obtain simplification of the structure, replacement associated with wear of the wear preventive component itself, and facilitation of add-ons. SOLUTION: A traveling drive device of a crawler type vehicle transmits the torque of a travel motor to the sprocket 8 from a fixed side casing 12 through a reducer and the rotating side casing 13. For a protective plate 22 having a flange protective part 24 on the outer surface of a ring-shape body 23, the inner peripheral surface comes close to the outer surface of the seal part 16 of the rotating side casing 3 to cover the protective plate, and the body part 23 is provided with the anti-sprocket surface 18b in the flange part 18 in such a state that the flange protective part 24 covers the flange part outer peripheral surface 18c. The protective plate 22 can be inserted and detached in the diameter direction of the flange part 18 by the plurality of division pieces in the peripheral direction, and detachably mounted on the anti-sprocket surface 18b of the flange part 18.
