PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool capable of exchanging a tip base by detachably connecting the tip base of the cutting tool with a holder shaft and restraining chattering vibration at the time of an operation. SOLUTION: In the cutting tool, an abutting surface 13 of the tip base 10 is pushed to the abutting surface 5 at the pointed head of the holder shaft 1 so that an insertion section 12 having a locking recessed section 14 having an opening at the outer periphery of the tip base 10 is fitted in a fitting section 4 used for connection having an opening at a pointed head face of the holder shaft 1, a set screw 21 is screwed into a screw hole 6 inclined from the pointed head to a slanting base end side of the holder shaft 1 and a tapered section 22 is entered to the locking recessed section 14 of the insertion section 12 and the tapered section 22 is brought into contact with a receiving surface 15 formed on the locking recessed section 14, and the outer periphery of the inserting section 12 is connected to push to the inside of the fitting section 4 used for connection.
