PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: a machine tool which is inhibited from illegal export sometimes cannot start up in cases other than transportation; and the machine tool cannot be controlled if it is in an area where radio communications cannot be carried out. SOLUTION: There is provided a new machine tool to overcome the problems. A machine main body 1 of the machine tool is provided with a mechanically activating switch 4. When the machine main body 1 is lifted up and the switch 4 is conducted, an on-signal generating device 5 outputs an on-signal to a discrimination value output device 6 to hold the output. The discrimination value output device 6 holds a discrimination code for discriminating whether the machine main body has been moved or not, and when a random number generator 7 inputs an on-signal at the time of input of a power source, the discrimination value output device irregularly demands the discrimination code, and replaces the held discrimination code by a new discrimination code to hold the same, followed by outputting the discrimination code held therein to a control device 2. The control device 2 encrypts the discrimination code, and compares the encrypted code with a code set beforehand.
