PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear machining method which is carried out by a minimum number of steps as a whole by improving the efficiency of a deburring step etc., and to provide a gear machining device. SOLUTION: According to the gear machining method, in a cutter machining step, so-called cutter machining in which tooth edge chamfering and deburring are simultaneously carried out, is performed on a gear 1 to be machined by a cutter machining device.
