DISPERSING OR GRINDING APPARATUS AND BEAD MILL, AND DISPERSING OR GRINDING METHOD USING THESE COMPONENTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which disperses and grinds solid particles by agitating a treatment material (a mill base) and grinding media (beads) in a vessel, can disperse and grind the solid particles into a nanometer size, and causes no trouble at a practical production level. SOLUTION: A rotor 4 for agitating the treatment material and the grinding media is disposed in the vessel 2. A recessed part 12 is formed in the wall surface of the vessel, and the ultrasonic horn 13 of an ultrasonic wave generating device is installed in the recessed part. Ultrasonic impact is applied to coagulated nanoparticles, and the nanoparticles collide with the grinding media. The grinding media are moved by ultrasonic shock waves, and shearing force is generated by collision between the grinding media to disperse and grind the solid particles into a nanometer size.
