PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle failure diagnosis system capable of facilitating maintenance and repair of vehicles. SOLUTION: An ECU 10 functions as the on-vehicle diagnostic system for detecting various abnormalities in the vehicle 1 as diag-codes, showing the abnormality content. The ECU 10 has previously stored an abnormal component inferring table where combinations of diag-codes are made to correspond to abnormal components inferred as being the cause, when a plurality of diag-codes included in the combinations are detected simultaneously. When the plurality of diag codes are detected simultaneously, the ECU 10 specifies the abnormal components inferred as being the cause, based on the abnormal component inferring table.
