PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining an accurate reflection coefficient of an antenna element in an antenna assembly. SOLUTION: The reflection coefficient calculation method for calculating the reflection coefficient of the antenna element in the antenna assembly wherein the antenna element is connected to a coaxial connector by a coaxial cable and a system for executing the method comprise a step for extracting a connector reflection component of the coaxial connector 93 by using a connector gating function for extracting the reflection component in the coaxial connector 93 from a reflection waveform, and extracting also an antenna reflection component in the first time in the antenna element 91 by using an antenna gating function for extracting a reflection component in the first time in the antenna element 91; and a step for correcting a transmission loss in the coaxial cable 92 relative to the antenna reflection component, determining the reflection coefficient of the coaxial connector 93 from the connector reflection component, correcting a reflection-originated loss in the coaxial cable 93 based on the reflection coefficient of the coaxial connector 93, and determining the reflection coefficient of the antenna element 91.
