A method of applying and forming sealant in which the sealant is provided in a container 10 from which the sealant is applied as a bead (25, Fig 4), the container 10 having attached thereto a sealant contour forming tool 30, the method including separating the sealant contour forming tool 30 from the container 10, applying a bead 25 of sealant as shown in Fig 4, and using the separated sealant contour forming tool 30 independently of the container 10 to form a sealant bead to a desired contour. Preferably the container includes a peripheral wall, the sealant contour forming tool being attached by a frangible connection 32 to the one end of the peripheral wall and the method including separating the tool therefrom. |
