A data processing apparatus includes an operation frequency storage table and a frequency/voltage conversion table. A scheduler (21) notifies an identifier of a single event selected from events to a CPU (30), and allocates the processes for the event identifier to the CPU (S2). A first operation frequency determining section (23) refers to the operation frequency storage table (25) based on the event identifier to select one of the set operation frequencies (S3). A second operation frequency determining section refers to the frequency/voltage conversion table (26) based on the selected set operation frequency to select one of the operation frequency ranges for the selected set operation frequency and one of the operation voltages (S4). A control unit controls the CPU to execute the allocated processes in a response to a clock signal with the selected set operation frequency (32) based on the selected operation voltage (31). A load measuring section (22) calculates a calculation operation frequency based on a processing time when the CPU executes the allocated processes, and stores the calculation operation frequency as a new set operation frequency in the operation frequency storage table together with the occurrence event identifier and the allocated processes. |
