PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which prolongs the life of a back light or front light composed of one lamp without spoiling user's usability of a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device of the present invention is equipped with: an acquiring means of acquiring the execution state of a job by an image processor; a detecting means of detecting the acquired execution state of the job changing from an in-execution state to a standby state; a time measuring means of measuring the lapse of time after the detection of the change; and a control means of controlling the light emission luminance of a lighting means of lighting liquid crystal that the liquid crystal panel provided to the image processor has.
