The process involves supplying a furnace with biomass and water. The temperature of air for pulsated combustion under ember bed resting on a grating of the furnace is maintained about 800 degree Celsius. A thermal barrier is established at temperature equal to or higher than 1500 degree Celsius. The barrier is limited by the grating and by strong endothermic action due to evaporation of the water along with the biomass. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing biomass combustion process.
