A brake system of an articulated vehicle is provided for securing safety of articulated vehicles by braking a 3-axis wheel and a wheel of a normal airline side always even if a 1-axis airline or a 2-axis airline is abnormal. The brake system of an articulated vehicle(1), that includes a front vehicle(10) having a 1-axis wheel(11) and a 2-axis wheel(12), a rear vehicle(15) having a 3-axis wheel(15) and an articulated joint(20) yawing or pitching the front wheel and the rear wheel, comprises a main brake for decelerating or stopping the articulated vehicle by using a brake pedal(30) and a parking brake for parking the articulated vehicle by using a parking lever(81). The main brake includes a brake pedal for a driver to operate, a primary brake chamber(31), a secondary brake chamber(32) and a third brake chamber(33) placed adjacently to each axis wheel, a dual brake pedal valve(35) for supplying compressed air generated from an air compressor by pedal force of the brake pedal to each brake chamber, and a double check valve(40) for supplying the compressed air supplied from the dual brake pedal valve to the third brake chamber, wherein a 1-axis airline(71) and a primary relay valve(51), a 2-axis airline(72) and a secondary relay valve(52), and a 3-axis airline(73) and a third relay valve(53) are installed between the primary brake chamber and the dual brake pedal valve, the secondary brake chamber and the dual brake pedal valve, and the third brake chamber and the double check valve respectively, so that the compressed air supplied to each relay valve is separated toward a pair of said brake chambers and supplied to each brake chamber via ABS valves(61,62,63) to brake each axis wheel. |
