PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus provided with an electrification device for continuing to print excellent images by preventing a toner and toner external additives from transferring on an electrifying roller from a photoreceptor by wiping out the toner and the toner external additives from the photoreceptor and holding an initial state without contaminating the electrifying roller thereby. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus allowing the toner external additives to remain on the photoreceptor 18 after transferring by developing latent images on the photoreceptor 18 and transferring toner images on a transfer paper sheet, a toner cleaning device 25 is arranged at the upstream side of an electrifying device 19 and the downstream side of a transferring device 11 in a rotation direction of the photoreceptor 18, and a toner external additive cleaning means 41 for removing the toner external additives is arranged at the downstream of the toner cleaning device 25.
