PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for an image display device that can properly suppress external light reflection and properly guides image light from an image display device to the outside so as to display sharp images. SOLUTION: The filter 10 for the image display device has a transparent base material 1, a netted metal layer and a blackened layer 3 provided on one side of the transparent base material 1, and a condenser lens 11 provided on the other side of the transparent base material 1. The condenser lens 11 is provided, corresponding to an opening part 4 of the net-like metal layer 2 and blackened layer 3.
