PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent engine stall caused by frequent occurrence of unintended reset even if a microcomputer is normal, in an engine control device. SOLUTION: In the engine control device, when forced reset, that is, reset unintended by the microcomputer occurs frequently when an engine is in a low rotating area of an idling state, initialization processing intervals in forced reduced are calculated (S34 to S36). When the initialization processing intervals are predetermined times or longer, a control for increasing an idling speed is performed (S37 to S39). Therefore, a problem, in which an engine speed is decreased by frequent occurrence of forced reset and the engine stall occurs even if the microcomputer is normal, is prevented.
