The invention relates to the gas, oil and electric power industry, namely to the electrochemical protection of underground metal structures from corrosion destruction, in particular to the construction of anodic grounding mat from the root system of stump, bush and tree vegetation. The grounding process consists in that as anode is used the root system of stump, bush and tree vegetation, and the system polarization is carried out with external periodic electric current with return duration controllable pulse.
