The invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, in particular to the restorative dentistry, prosthetic dentistry and orthodontics, and may be used for measuring the length of the anterior portion of the upper or low jaw. The device includes a measuring rule (1), in the middle of which by means of a fastening screw (2) there is fixed a measuring bar (3), into which it is made a longitudinal guide slot (4). Into the latter, with the possibility of displacement, there is installed a carriage (5) with a stop screw (6). Into the carriage (5), with the possibility of vertical displacement, there is installed a measuring prod (7), the lower part (8) of which is bent at an angle equal to 90? in the direction of the measuring rule (1). The measuring prod (7) is fixed with the help of a stop screw (9). Onto the upper surface of the carriage (5) at the level of projection of the end (10) of the measuring prod (7) bent part there is made a cross mark (11). At the same time, the center of the fastening screw (2) represents the reference point for carrying out of measurements.
