Disclosed are nonaqueous electrolyte additives, which can improve the safety of a battery upon overcharge of the battery without reducing the performance of the battery, as well as a nonaqueous electrolyte comprising the additives, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the nonaqueous electrolyte.
