The present invention relates to a method of processing an emergency call in a telecommunication network (10), a secure equipment (100) performing the method and a telecommunication network (10) comprising said secure equipment (100). More specifically present application relates to the case that when an emergency call is initiated a process is invoked to determine all personal information pertaining to the calling person (examples given name, date of birth) and the present location of the caller. This information can be provided to public authorities or a dispatch centre such that ambulances can be dispatched to the specified location. Also mentions recording of the distress call. Detecting abnormal call peaks from a location, for example in case of a terrorist attack, natural disaster and then listening in to conversations coming from the same location so as to determine the cause for the call peak, such that global security activities can be undertaken.
