Apparatus 1 for playing a game of throwing and catching balls comprises a ramp 2 at a lower, in use, region of the apparatus 1 along the top surface of which balls are thrown. The ramp 2 extends into a bend 9 which ends at an upper, in use, region of said apparatus 1 and which is of sufficient curvature to tend to return the balls for catching to the side of the apparatus 1 from which they are thrown. The ramp 2 preferably has a downwardly inclined first portion and a second portion having at least part on the bend 9, the first and second portions being separable. Apparatus may incorporate a base (20, Fig 3) serving as a ballast. The apparatus may comprise a tubular frame 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and a sheet 8, or preferably two sheets, one overlapping the other. Preferably a pre-recorded soundtrack is stored and a sensor triggers the reading of the soundtrack dependent upon the travel direction or impact of the ball. |
