A system and a method for changing a user interface are provided to offer various user interfaces by forming a user interface platform capable of changing resources separately from a maker platform and changing the resources in the user interface platform. A package server(100) provides a user interface package(110) formed by mapping user interface resources and a menu tree. A user interface platform(210) forms a user interface of a mobile terminal(200) with the resources included in the user interface package by downloading the user interface package from the package server. The mobile terminal is equipped with a maker platform(220) helping a menu handler(221) access the resources by connecting to the resources of the user interface platform and the menu handler. The user interface platform includes a script handler(211) parsing the resources included in the user interface package and a mapping handler(212) mapping the parsed resources to the menu tree. The resources are multimedia resources, such as backgrounds, fonts, sounds, images, and icons, forming the user interface. |
